Food project

With so many people struggling during the current climate through job losses and reduced income, we wanted to start a food bank project to help those in need within our community. We put a call out for people in need amongst our own networks and identified a number of families that were in need of support. We approached local churches, Carternowle SDA who were able to donate 7 shopping bags of food and Burngreave SDA donated food vouchers and a range of groceries that we were able to donate 13 food packages in total to local people in need.

Unfortunately we were unable to obtain funds to sustain this project longer term, but if you find that you are struggling, there's no need to struggle in silence or to feel ashamed that you have fallen on hard times.
